Spiral Food Co-op has been serving the community for 47 years and in that time, we grew from a start up in the basement of the Armory to our current location with 2,351 co-op member-owners. We moved into our larger space back in 2022 and have more than doubled store sales, increased offerings, and added more jobs in the community while supporting small farmers and producers. In May 2026 we rounded up at the register for Carpenter Nature Center and together we raised $1,397.83! We were honored to meet one of their newer animal ambassadors, an Eastern Screech Owl. despite only weighing 165 grams and being a little over a year old this little owl is fully grown. It was found with an injured eye and because of that cannot be returned to the wild.
