For those that are new or unfamiliar with the expansion project, we want to buy our current
building and increase our retail floor by three times its current size allowing for more space,
products, and new options for our customers. We had planned to launch our fundraising at the
end of February at Alexia Bailey winery last year with a grand event, but as you can imagine,
plans had to change. We delayed launching the campaign until August and would have loved
more opportunities to talk with all of you.
Overwhelmingly, everyone is excited about growing the store and is looking forward to when it’s completed, but we need your help to make it a reality. Currently members have loaned or
donated $37,000 – 8% of our goal of $500,000, which is our down payment for a 2.1 million
dollar USDA loan. The repayment of the loan spreads over 30 years and allows the coop to
increase our store size while keeping the repayment at a reasonable level.
I recognize many folks are not currently in a position to help, but if all our current members were able to give $258.93, we would meet our portion required for the USDA loan. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
