Curbside Pick-up: The Details

Thank you for practicing social distancing and self-quarantine. We are here to help you take as many precautions as possible. As skilled staff who work with the public, we are also practicing proper hand washing techniques at all times and will take extra care when we help you shop for your groceries.

Tips to help for curbside:


Biggest tip: This process will take time. Please allow 24 hours to complete orders. We anticipate filling orders as quickly as we can, but please bear with us as we are trying something completely new.

Things to keep in mind:


Although you are sending us your order online, we must take a credit card over the phone. Please do not send us your credit card information over the internet.


Our process relies heavily on the use of a phone and the presence of a credit card or gift cards.


An order can take up to 24 hours to fill. We will be filling orders as quickly as possible and they will be filled in the order that they are received.


Once our staff has called you and confirmed that your order is ready, please let them know when you will be coming to pick it up. If you are unable to pick up your order by the end of the business day, and no arrangements have been made, your order will be refunded and the items will be put back out on the shelf. This is to reduce spoilage.*


How To Request Curbside:

  1. Fill out the form as completely as possible. Sizes, amounts, brands, and alternatives are helpful for completing orders.

  2. Pick-up times are arranged once order is ready to be picked up. When arranging a pick-up time, note that the first hour of the day 10am -11am is best for Spiral Staff and all orders must be picked up before 6pm.

  3. Completing a curbside pick-up order relies heavily on phone conversations. If you don’t have a reliable phone, or cell phone, please let us know as the process may take longer to complete since we will be emailing correspondence. We can work together to make it happen.

FAQ:

Q: Can I still use my Owner Number when I check out?

A: Yes! We are using the same system to check out orders over the phone as we would use in person. You will be asked for your Owner Number and we can even still look you up by your last name.


Q: Can I still Round Up?

A: Yes! Staff may not ask you if you would like to round up over the phone since this is a new system for them. However, they are still able to round up, any amount, just ask!


Q: What if I forgot something?

A: Please make another order since we are filling requests in the order that they are received.


*Q: What happens if I can’t come and pick up my order immediately when it is ready?

A: Please communicate with the store about any delays. In general, if your order isn’t picked up by the end of the business day on the day that your transaction was completed, the order will be refunded and the products will be placed back on sale. We realize that life happens, so please communicate with staff about any delays so that we can work out a plan together.


Fine Print:

We are stocking our store to the best of our ability. Please note that there are shortages at every level of distribution at this time. There may be items on your list that we do not have, or are otherwise unable to procure. Our staff will contact you in the event of an outage and help you arrange for an alternative item, help you special order the item for the future, or put you on a waiting list for the item.
